14th blog poster

HI~ this is my 14^th blog poster. We met on this week for final portfolio. We made presentation board with whiteboard and pens. Then, we chose the pictures that show in presentation. We separated three parts on the board. Fist part is Brenda’s best 5 pictures, second part is our 5 projects(changing sky, heart shape, AJHS, JH cross, Korea national flag) and third part is my best 4 pictures. I think it will be very nice presentation! We arranged the pictures again and we will print those pictures on next week. I also plan to make a bookmark with our pictures. We will meet next week again to finish our final portfolio. I’m looking forward to see our final portfolio.

13th blog poster

Hi~ Good evening! This is my 13^th blog poster. This week I moved my house so we couldn’t meet but we decided all about our final project. We promised again that we will meet this weekend. When we will meet this weekend, we arrange our pictures on the poster board. We will decorate with string and tongs. We will put pictures that taken until now. I think our final portfolio will be a small photo exhibition. It will be interesting when you see our portfolio. We don’t have enough time to finish our project so we should finish the final portfolio this weekend. I will print pictures before this weekend. I hope to finish our portfolio until this weekend.

12th poster

Hi~ this is my 12^th blog poster. We can’t finish the Korean national flag project because I went to Destine for weekend. So, we decided other things about project. First, we will presentation with poster board on final portfolio. We think it is more creative than the power point. We will fill the poster board with results of our project: changing sky, the Korean national flag, heart shape, JH cross and AJHS. We decided to put the Korean national flag in the middle of the poster board and put other pictures around the flag. Second, we started JH cross (letter) project. J and H letter will be made of our shoes and cross letter will be made of rocks or hand writing. If we can, we will meet on this weekend to finish project.

11th blog poster

This is my 11^th blog poster. I continue to search for the Korean national flag project. There were many ways to make the Korean national flag but there weren’t using pictures. I’m worried that I cannot finish this project. I don’t want to change my plan anymore so that care sits heavily on me.  I’ll finish this project quick as a wink within this week. I  also practiced to take pictures with camera. Last week, Mrs. Raville suggested that taking pictures on different sides and I followed her advice. I couldn’t find and feel differences at first but when I took pictures following that way again, I found some differences! I took three objects and they all has different side of pictures are come out well. One object comes out well when I take that on front side and the other object comes out well when I take that on top side. It was amazing! Again, I was attracted by the camera through this practice.

My 10th blog poster

This is my 10^th blog poster. I heard that we don’t have any time to finish the project so we must finish this project rapidly. We have to finish the Korean national flag project. We already decided parts of pictures to put the Korean national flag project. We will fill the parts of the flag with Korean foods. For example, that Korean foods are Kimchi, rice, Kim(sea-weed), Kim-bab(roll the rice with ham, egg, pickled radish, fish cake, and spinach on the sea-weed) and salted fish etc. I will try to take pictures of food to look delicious. I’m planning to edit the pictures using photo shop that I learned. It can be hard to me but I’m sure it will be a good experience. Thank you. Have a good night.

9th blog

Hi~ this is my 9^th blog poster. This week was the spring break. We planned to do many things for project in this week. However my partner Brenda went on a trip so we decided just to take any pictures during the spring break. I stayed in the home during all the spring break so I took pictures the food. This food is the stir-fried small octopus. It is called Nak-ji bokkem in Korean.  It’s little spicy and very delicious.

 

 

I ate this food for dinner and I went outside for walk. When I raised my head I could see many glittering stars. I want to take the star picture with DSLR camera but it doesn’t focus on night so I took that picture with my phone. It was very beautiful.

 

 

 

 

 

If I can, I want to take zodiac sign. I’m sure that will be very wonderful pictures.

8th blog

Hi~ This is my 8th blog. This week we didn’t progress the project because we thought we should learn about editing photos (using photo shop) for this project. I already experienced the difficulty of the photo shop so I know how a photo shop is difficult. I researched photo shop through the Korean blogs. At first, it looked very easy but when I tried to do this it was really difficult. I didn’t want to give up so I found an editing program that was easier than photo shop. I knew that program by my friend. She also taught how to use that program. That program was on my laptop and it named PAINT. Net. It was simple than photo shop so I could edit easier. It was very funny! Next time, I will try to do photo shop again.

Hi~

I had a bad news during project. My all photos were deleted by my bad computer skill. I edited my photos on last week and saved but it didn’t work. I didn’t know that so I embarrassed. I was obliged to take photos again. Last Saturday weather was cloudy so I couldn’t see many changes. I was very sad about that. It was easier to edit than the last time.

 I took 11 sky pictures. I wanted to take 12 pictures but I couldn’t because I took 12th picture at night. I didn’t know that camera doesn’t focus on the things at night.

I also work on the new photo project in progress. Brenda and I plan to make a Korean national flag with Korean food. We decided foods at each section.

#6 blog

We took changing of sky on Saturday. Our plan is that Brenda took pictures in her home and I took pictures in my house and compare our pictures. We took pictures at every hour. I disappointed at first because I couldn’t see big changing of sky. A few hours later, I could see the little change like shape of clouds and color of the sky.  It’s very amazing and wonderful. This picture is entirely of the project to be expected so I enjoyed during taking pictures.  I really want to post pictures on this 6^th blog but we are editing these pictures so I posted that pictures on next blog poster. I hope I finish editing my picture well. If you visit my blog on this weekend (or next Monday) you can see nice pictures. 

  

changing our plan :(

We changed the 20% time project plan because it’s very hard to me. I changed some parts of my plan. When I started this project I plan to make 6 shade pictures but it’s hard so we decided to make 3 shade pictures and take any pictures that we wants. We will make 3 shade pictures: heart, JH cross letters and the Korean national flag. We also take changing of sky. It will be a very nice picture. I want to take America views. It is very differ from Korea view so I want to express that through my camera.

Our heart shade picture is composed of red objects, not our arms. Other shade pictures will follow originally our plan. I’m sorry about changing our plan.

4th blog

I want to post my heart shape project on this fourth blog poster but I can’t do that. I’m very sorry about that.  I thought to make heart shape with pictures is easy but it’s too hard. Brenda and I keep taking pictures for this heart shape but we don’t know about how to edit these pictures. Of course, we searched about this but we can’t find good data. In the Korea, we make heart shape with app. It’s very easy but we can use that app so we finding the way that we can make heart shape.  I’m thinking many ways to make heart shape but I’m not sure. I hope these ideas give a good result.

I want to make a beautiful picture so I am doing my best. I am expecting about my result. I hope to show my heart shape pictures next blog poster. Have a great day~

Auburn's sky

We didn't finish heart picture so I took Auburn's sky. When I saw the sky in Korea I felt stuffy because Korea sky is blocked by high buildings but Auburn’s sky is open view. It makes me feel better.
When I didn’t know well about camera I’m disappointed because I can’t take a picture that as much as I saw but now, I’m amazing the world that in the camera angle. It is different to see through my eyes and camera angle. It looks like to unfold a new world.




I didn't remember the exact place that I took pictures. I think I took these pictures when I was going to mart.

 I like this picture because this sky shape and color is very good.

 I can find tall trees easily in Auburn. This tall tree is making a beautiful picture. 

This is beautiful sunset. I like Auburn’s sunset. That color is attracting me.

My plan

I planned 20% project in detail with Brenda on Friday (2/7). We will take and make 6 pictures: heart, camera, JH cross, the national flag of Korea, changing of sky, food. We will take Auburn’s view too. We will start this project with heart picture. We make heart with our arms and objects that colored red. Our arms will be shape of heart and red objects will be background. We make camera with our camera pictures. We take a our camera and give dark effect. This effect will be shape of camera. We make letters of JH cross with our picture and foot picture. We make a Korean flag with pictures that relative in Korea. For example, Korean food, house, view and person (athletes, singer etc .) Changing of sky is most anticipated picture. We will take the sky in same time but different places. I think this picture will be very nice. Finally, we take foods that we made. This picture will make you hungry. I hope to take good pictures. Thank you for reading this writing.

BEGINNING

Hi, my name is Yeseul Hwang.

I made this blog through 20% time project in English class.

20% time project is do something that is what I want to do.

My project is taking picture and making portfolio at the end.

I will do this project with my friend Brenda because we has the same camera and we are both interested in photography.

I want to know my camera functions and take good pictures with these functions when finished this project.

When I start this project I will learn and study about camera functions and find out about to be such a good photographer.

Actually, I have many worries about this project so I hope to come to a successful close. I will do my best for this project so please keep watching out for me.
